Schalk Burger was voted World Rugby Player of the Year in 2004 after his breakout season. We was a fantastic player who could slow down opposition ball at the breakdown, had deceptive speed and above all, he had good hands for a forward. Schalk cam back from serious injury twice in his career. The first time was in 2007 after her recovered from a serious neck injury in 2006 and then he made a second come back in 2014. This is testimony to his strength of character and his resolve to never be beaten. He is truly a Springbok great. Enjoy and thanks for watching!
